Dilemma

Well, I've essentially been offered the choice between two jobs. Both of which are low paying, but they are jobs. One is working as a Service Technician for Rove Pest Control. The other is as an Electronic Assembler for Celestica through Addecco. This one has a possibility of becoming a Soldering position with more money.

Rove Pest Control would be paying per job. $8 per job with a $2 per job payback at the end of the season. I'd have to learn how to drive a manual shift truck. I'd be driving everywhere. Plus I'd be dealing with people everyday. While I do need to work on my customer service skills, I worry that I'll fly of the handle at the wrong person and I'll be fired. Plus the position is only guaranteed through August/September.

The Celestica position would be a guaranteed 4/10 schedule every week with a starting pay of $9 an hour. No overtime as they have people working practically around the clock there. As I said above, I have the potential to end up doing soldering work instead. Need to pass a test for that. Assuming things don't go south, this position could eventually end up being where I am hired on. Of course, from what I've been told, that could be anywhere from 3 to 18 months after I start with an average of 15 months as of late.
